Design & Collaboration

I am a NYC-based lighting designer dedicated to storytelling through style and collaboration. I believe that live storytelling can reveal a shared beauty in the world. Lighting should enhance dramatic conflict by shaping space and emotion, creating unique and impactful environments for action to unfold.

In addition to my work as a freelance lighting designer, I have experience as a production manager, projection designer, and educator. I particularly enjoy helping students and emerging designers discover their own voices while developing their skills.

I am a proud member of U.S.A. 829 and graduated with my undergraduate degree from Boston University. I then pursued graduate studies at the University of Maryland, where I had the opportunity to learn under Brian MacDevitt.

I live in Queens with my wife, Rochele Mac, and an ever-growing collection of spider plants.
