I am a NYC-based lighting designer dedicated to storytelling through style and collaboration. I believe that live storytelling can reveal a shared beauty in the world. Lighting should heighten dramatic conflict by shaping space and emotion and creating unique, impactful environments where action unfolds.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve worked on plays, musicals, operas, dance, and live events; including over 20 world priemers or National New Play Network Rolling Premiers. In addition to my work as a freelance lighting designer, I have experience as a projections designer, production manager, and educator. I especially enjoy helping students and emerging designers discover their voices while building their skills.

I am a proud member of U.S.A. 829. I graduated with a BFA from Boston University. I then earned my MFA from the University of Maryland, where I studied under Brian MacDevitt.

I live in Queens with my wife, Rochele Mac (who is an NYC-based scenic designer), and an ever-growing collection of spider plants.
